Same-day service is available with our drop-off wash and fold service. Pickup and delivery customers can sign up to get next-day delivery.
For same day drop-off service it is best to drop off in the morning hours to allow us the time to complete the order. Later drop off may also be okay to receive same day service depending on the size of the load, time of drop off, and the amount of orders we already have for the day. We do our best to accommodate all same day service requests.
We’ll text you when your order starts processing and again when it’s ready for pickup. No need to call or check in, everything’s handled on our end. Same‑day depends on how busy we are, but if we can make it happen for you, we will.

Drop-off wash and fold is priced by the lb.
Pricing includes the wash, the dry, the fold, name-brand detergents, fabric softener, dryer sheets, and stain treatment. No hidden fees. No surcharges for special preferences. The $15 minimum is roughly ten pounds of laundry, about one full hamper or a couple loads of casuals plus work clothes.

What's Included With Every Order
Every drop-off includes the full process from start to finish.
Standard service uses Tide detergent, Downy fabric softener, and Bounce dryer sheets, with Clorox bleach for whites. Visible stains get pre-treated with Shout before the wash. Whites are separated from colors. Each load dries on the appropriate temperature for the fabrics in it.
If you have a preference, tell us at drop-off. We can use All Free & Clear or Dreft for sensitive skin and baby clothes. Seventh Generation is our eco-friendly option. Preferences get recorded with your order and followed every time you come in, so you don’t have to repeat them.
Folding follows a standard process. Towels separated. Shirts together. Pants together. If you have a specific folding preference, just say so at the counter. If you have items you prefer on a hanger just let us know and we’ll hang those instead of folding.

What We Wash and Fold
We accept most everyday laundry: jeans, shirts, work uniforms, athletic gear, kids’ clothes, sheets, pillowcases, socks, underwear, and towels.
Bulky bedding has separate pricing. Comforters are $20 for Twin/Full and $26 for Queen/King, with a $10 surcharge for down or extra-heavy items. Mattress pads, sleeping bags, quilts, and bedspreads are priced individually. See our comforter cleaning page for full bulky bedding details.
For dry-clean-only items like silk blouses, wool suits, and gowns, we offer separate dry cleaning service. Drop your wash and fold and your dry cleaning at the same time and we handle both. Dry cleaning has per-item pricing, with shirts starting at $3.95 and 2-piece suits at $18.55.

- Do you offer same-day wash and fold service?
Yes. It is best to drop off in the morning hours to allow us the time to complete the order. Later drop off may also be okay to receive same day service depending on the size of the load, time of drop off, and the amount of orders we already have for the day. - What time should I drop off to get same-day service?
Morning drop-offs give us the best chance to complete your order the same day. Later drop-offs depend on the day's volume. Busier days mean tighter scheduling. We text you a status update when your order is processing and again when it's ready for pickup.
- Do I need an appointment to drop off my laundry?
No appointment needed. Walk in any time during our open hours: Monday through Friday from 7am to 10pm, Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 10pm. Free street parking is available outside the facility at 61 Glen Street in Glen Cove.
- What is wash and fold laundry service?
Wash and fold laundry service also called fluff and fold is a professional laundry service where you drop off or schedule a pickup of your dirty laundry, and our team handles everything: washing, drying, folding, and packaging. Your clothes come back fresh, clean, and ready to wear or put away. At Long Island Laundry Company, drop-off orders are ready same day when brought in before noon, or next day for all other orders. Pickup and delivery is also available across Nassau and Suffolk County.
- What's the minimum order for drop-off?
The minimum order is $15. That's about 10 pounds of laundry at our $1.45 per pound rate, roughly one small hamper or a few shirts and pants plus a couple of towels and undergarments
. Smaller orders are still welcome. You just pay the $15 minimum.
- Is there a difference between laundry pickup and drop-off service?
Yes, the main difference is speed. With our pickup and delivery service, we come to your door anywhere in Nassau or Western Suffolk County and return your laundry the next day. It's the most convenient option if you want to skip the trip entirely.
If you need your laundry back the same day, drop it off directly at our Glen Cove facility at 61 Glen St. Same-day turnaround is available for drop-offs, making it the fastest option we offer. - What detergents do you use? Can I request specific brands?

- Do you offer a sensitive skin or fragrance free detergent?
Yes. We offer All Free & Clear fragrance-free and hypoallergenic detergent for customers with sensitive skin, allergies, or detergent sensitivities. We also offer Dreft for baby laundry. Both are available at no extra charge — just request it at drop-off or include it in your special instructions when scheduling pickup.
- I like my laundry done a special way, can I make any special request?
Absolutely, as many as you like. Common requests we handle daily include: specific detergent or fabric softener, hot or cold wash temperatures, delicate or gentle cycles, folding preferences, hang-dry for specific items, and separating certain items from the main load. Just tell us at drop-off or leave a note in the bag. There is no extra charge for following your instructions.
- How do you treat stains?
Our attendants inspect and pre-treat visible stains before placing items in the wash at no extra charge. If you have specific items with stains you want us to pay special attention to, place them in a separate bag or leave a note at the top of your laundry. We use appropriate stain treatment products based on fabric type. We cannot guarantee complete removal of set-in or chemical stains, but we treat every visible stain before washing.
- Can I have certain items put on hangers and not folded?
Yes we can place any items you like on hangers. As always there is no extra charge for this. Just place the items in a separate bag with a note to put on hangers or add a note when placing order online (ex. Place all button down shirts on hangers, hang khakis.
- How much does wash and fold drop-off cost?

Same-day service is available when you drop off your laundry earlier in the day, your order will be ready for pickup later in the day. For orders dropped off later in the day, standard turnaround is next-day. Pickup and delivery turnaround time is next-day for Nassau and North Shore Suffolk locations.

- What if I have special requests or delicate items?

Just place delicate items in a separate bag and include a note or let us know when dropping off your laundry. We’ll treat them with extra care as per your instructions. - Is there a contract or subscriptions required to use your laundry service?
