We are usually very successful at removing stains but depending on the stain and material type of the items we can’t guarantee the stain will come out.

  • Long Island Laundry Company has three core price points. Pickup and delivery wash-and-fold is $1.95 per pound with a $35 minimum. Drop-off wash and fold at our Glen Cove location is $1.45 per pound with a $15 minimum. Comforters start at $20 for Twin/Full and $26 for Queen/King. Commercial accounts are custom-quoted, typically below the $1.95 per pound residential rate.

  • For most families, yes. A typical 20-pound load at a laundromat costs $8 to $12 in machine fees and supplies, plus 2 to 3 hours of your time, plus transportation. That same 20-pound load with our pickup and delivery service is $39 (20 lb × $1.95/lb), with zero hours of your time and free pickup and delivery. When you value your time at any reasonable hourly rate, our service typically comes out ahead. It's also more convenient, more consistent, and easier on your clothes (our commercial-grade machines are gentler than home machines and many laundromat machines).

Most home machines lack the drum capacity to wash a Queen or King comforter without clumping, and most home dryers can't fully dry the interior filling, which leads to mildew and musty smells. We use commercial-grade equipment specifically designed for bulky bedding, so comforters come back fully clean, fully dry, and properly fluffed.

  • Most of our Long Island customers have their comforters cleaned once or twice a year. The busiest times are spring (allergy season, swapping out winter bedding) and fall (before winter, after summer dust accumulation). Seasonal comforter cleaning removes dust mites, allergens, and buildup that regular sheet changes don't address.

  • Yes, we offer dry cleaning pickup and delivery alongside our wash-and-fold service. We partner with an environmentally responsible dry cleaner, so your dry cleaning is handled with the same quality you'd get going in yourself. Shirts start at $3.95 (laundered and machine-pressed) or $7.99 (dry cleaned and hand-pressed). Suits, dresses, and formal wear are priced per item.

  • Yes, we're fully staffed during business hours. Staff can help with machine operation, take drop-off laundry orders, handle payment issues, and answer any questions you have.

  • Yes, our laundromat uses the FasCard app. You can see which machines are available, check cycle times, and start machines remotely from your phone.

  • If a machine malfunctions, alert a staff member on-site. We'll correct the issue or refund your money immediately.

  • We ask that you do not use our self-service machines for pet bedding, items with excessive dirt, grease, or waste. These materials affect machine cleanliness and other customers' experience. If you're unsure whether an item is okay, ask our staff. We're happy to suggest alternatives (usually our in-store wash-and-fold drop-off, which handles these items separately).

  • Absolutely. Your safety matters:

    • The facility is well-lit and staffed
    • Emergency protocols are in place for peace of mind

  • Yes, but we ask that children are supervised at all times for safety and so other customers can focus on their laundry.

  • Weekday mid-mornings and early afternoons are typically our quietest hours. Evenings and weekends are a bit busier, but machines are almost always available.

  • We cover 67 towns across Nassau County and Western Suffolk County, Long Island. Our coverage map extends from Glen Cove (our headquarters) out to Huntington in the east, down to Rockville Centre and Massapequa in the south, and west to the Queens border. View our full service area list.

  • Turnaround depends on route frequency. In towns where we have enough customer volume to run daily routes, we offer next-day delivery. In towns further from our Glen Cove facility or with lower route frequency, we run 48-hour turnaround to maintain route efficiency without raising prices. The 15 current 48-hour towns are: Bellmore, Bethpage, Commack, Deer Park, Dix Hills, Levittown, Massapequa, Massapequa Park, Melville, Northport, Plainedge, Plainview, Port Washington, Rockville Centre, and Wantagh.

  • Yes. We add new service areas based on customer demand. If you're just outside our current coverage map, let us know by calling (516) 674-4123, and we'll note your interest. When we have enough demand in your area to justify adding the route, we'll reach out.
